Everyday you can find at least 10-20 iguanas grazing and sunning on the grass and beach or hanging out in the bushes. I followed this particular iguana for at least 20 minutes and took at least 50 images so that I could find a perfect picture that I could paint from.<\/p>\n<p>He was started in 2009 and completed in 2010. I was trying to push myself to have\u00a0more detail than the first two Iguanas Studies that I painted. Of course he was painted with colours that remind of my beloved Caribbean sea. I really liked how strong he turned out and he is definitely gazing at the viewer. This painting, as well as, all of my other paintings are not a exact representations of the subject matter. \u00a0I wanted to use the colours to evoke a caribbean theme, and create a beautiful backdrop to support such as strong profile.<\/p>\n<p>This painting is 18&#8243; x 24&#8243; Acrylic on 3\/4&#8243; stretch canvas. Original is available for sale as well as GiClee reproductions on unstretched, 3\/4&#8243; and 1 3\/4&#8243; Canvas of various dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>Presently, there is a 12&#8243; X 16&#8243; GiClee reproduction on un-stretched canvas with 3&#8243; white border available for $150.00 (plus shipping).
