Commissioning an Art Piece
The Art Piece
The art piece is a culmination of a collection of images (photographs) and sketches from the consultation.
Process
To begin, fill out the quick questionnaire above. After you fill out the questionnaire, I will get a hold of you and schedule a time to consult either by phone or in person. I then take photographs and begin sketching up several drafts. We will be in communication for the entire process and I welcome your input. I am not a colour by number artist. My methodology is professional and my style tends toward the organic, but I am experienced and many different styles.
FAQ’s
- Initial consultation is free.
- I will provide a maximum of three changes for the agreed upon price. Any more changes will result in increased costs.
- I will provide continuous updates and pictures as the piece progresses.
- I require a 50% down payment before beginning the commissioned art piece.
- Halfway through the painting, I require a midterm release.
- Upon completion and delivery, I then require the rest of the pay within two weeks.
Doing a personalized fine art commission is a process based on mutual trust. I work hard to earn yours and to provide you with a piece that can be cherished for years.

The art-piece was commissioned to hang in the boardroom at Fairfield-Maxwell Ltd.,.
The art-piece is a 4′ X 6′ Oil Painting on 1 3/4′ stretched canvas.
The image was inspired by the logo of Fairfield-Maxwell Ltd., (which originated with the Sugahara family) and Lisabeth Sugahara’s love of ancient ruins and temples she has visited throughout the world.
In total, with the original consultation to them receiving the image it was one year. This is not the average time it takes to commission a piece. It just happens that the client travelled the world extensively and we had to coordinate whilst she was in New York City.

The image was inspired by the beautiful pelicans that can be seen crashing into the stunning Caribbean and Atlantic waters surrounding the Virgin Islands.
The patrons were involved in all the processes of creating this beautiful unique piece for their home.

The image was inspired by the Coral Reefs found in our beautiful ocean floors.
The patrons were involved in all the processes of creating this beautiful unique piece for their boutique hotel.
